As Ben said last month, fishing for Blue Gill was a first for me.
From the picture you can see we both pulled in a Blue Gill at the same
time. Awesome! Even better from a canoe. Thanks Ben.

| A couple of months ago Ben came up to Pocatello where we fished Black
Canyon. It was some good trout fishing. Tons of bugs on the water.... but we still fooled them to go for our fly. Good times. As you can see most were Rainbows. They appear so much bigger bringing them in. | |

Two GREAT trips! We need to head back to Black Canyon and then up to the Teton later in September and nail those little 'bows!
ReplyDeleteWho's is the big one? Sad I wasn't able to be on those trips. Love seeing all the fish you guys are catching. Keep posting.
ReplyDeleteLooking closer at that last picture of the trout. You guys were using the wrong flies. I hope you had a stone fly imitation dropper off those dries! Look at the trouts chin.
ReplyDeleteDan, we tried everything. Nothing worked. There were so many dries that if your presentation was not perfect there was no way you were going to even get a look. Nick and I had a dropper on the entire day and that was worse than the dries.
